S.U.D.S. CODE OF CONDUCT

This Code of Conduct is a community pledge for all S.U.D.S. participants to take to ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive festival for all.

We are committed to providing a friendly, safe, supportive and harassment-free festival experience for all event attendees and participants, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion or other group identity. All festival participants are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, courtesy and respect for others. This applies to all attendees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, vendors, volunteers and staff.

  • Conduct yourself in a professional, respectful, and responsible manner

  • Make sure all of your communication is appropriate and inclusive for all audiences

  • Contribute to a positive environment that is free of hostile and offensive behaviors.

  • Report misconduct and/or incidents of hostile or offensive behaviors, harassment, discrimination, or violence.

  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

  • Comply with all venue and festival policies and procedures, and instructions provided by festival staff

VIDEO AND PHOTO CONSENT
Registration and attendance at, or participation in, S.U.D.S. constitutes an agreement that allows S.U.D.S. to use and distribute the registrant's, attendee's and/or participant's image, name or voice in recordings, photographs, videos, websites, social media and/or print and digital collateral.

REPORTING AN INCIDENT
We will not tolerate harassment of festival participants in any form. Anyone violating these rules may be asked to leave at the sole discretion of S.U.D.S. If you see something, say something.


Please contact a S.U.D.S. volunteer if you believe you’ve observed or experienced a violation of this Code of Conduct, and S.U.D.S. event organizers will work to assess the situation and to respond as soon as possible. Notifying S.U.D.S. does not constitute or replace a notification to local law enforcement.


All suspected violations of the law should be reported to local law enforcement. For emergencies, immediately dial 9-1-1. For non-emergencies, City of Decatur Police Department is available at 404-373-655.
